About Karen Lewis, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, Regional Manager

Karen Lewis began her career in association management in 1986.  In 1991 she and her husband founded their own property management company devoted solely to the management of homeowners and condominium associations in the Charleston, South Carolina area. 

In 1995, Karen obtained her first designation from the Community Association Institute (CAI) the Association Management Specialist - AMS®, and in 1998 received their highest designation of Professional Community Association Manager – PCAM®. During that time Karen was also elected to the South Carolina Chapter for CAI, and in 1999 served as the state’s chapter president.

Upon selling their company in South Carolina, Karen and her family moved to the Asheville area where she joined the IPM team.  Karen has become active with CAI in North Carolina, working to bring educational opportunities for professionals and owners in community associations in western North Carolina.
